Q? Vent Lids: Their are so many different Vent Lids you have in stock, How do I know which one will fit my RV?
A> To Replace your old worn out, cracked or warped vent lid you need to matched the vent hinge on you existing vent lid to the illustrations shown here.

Their are (3) basic manufacturers of RV Roof Vents, with (4) styles of hinges and listed in order as shown above, they are Jensen, Jensen W/Out Pin, Old Elixir and Ventline/New Elixir. Just look on the plastic crank handle, some times the name is stamped right into the handle or on the vent interior frame. If you not sure which vent you have, the best thing to do is take off you old vent lid and bring it in and we will match it up.
T<> While replacing your vent lid, check the roof seal around the vent to see if their are any cracks in the seal. If an Aluminum roof top you can re-seal the vent with plas-t-cote. It comes in White or Aluminum and in either quart or gallon cans. If you have a rubber roof top, use self leveling caulking. Also while your on you RV roof top, check your roof seams for any cracking. Plas-t-cote and self leveling caulking can seal those seams also. Return To To Of Page
Q? Holding Tanks: How can I tell which slide valve on my RV is for my black water tank and my grey water tank. And can I leave both valves open when I have my sewer hose connected to my RV and the RV Park's sewer drain?
A> Most RV's have two slide valves on them and the black water slide valve is always the large of the two. It is know as a 3" inch slide valve while the grey water tank, (your sink water drains and shower drain) are also the smaller of the two. They are either 1 1/2" or 2" drain valves. As for leaving both valves opened, this is a big, big mistake that is done by a lot of new RVer's till they get their black water tank plugged up and are in need of a service call!! RV toilets are designed to save water, not flush everything through the holding tank and sewer hose to the parks drain. You should never leave the 3" valve open, but you can leave your grey water valve open while in a RV park connected to the parks sewer drain.
T<> It also helps your black water tank to only use RV & Marine toilet tissue paper that is biodegradable to brake down in water along with holding tank chemicals. Also another good idea is one or two nights before leaving the RV park that your staying at is to close your grey water valve. This way on the morning that you are leaving and you open your black water valve to empty your tank, then you can open your grey water valve to flush out your drain hose before unconnected it and stowing it away. Q? Bug Cleaning: What's the very best product that you stock to clean the bugs off the front of my RV?
A> Forget all of those products out there that never work. If you want the bugs off the front of your RV, or any vehicle, here's the quickest and cheapest way of doing it. Get yourself a box of Bounty Dryer Sheets, or any brand. Dip one in a little warm water, cold water will work and rub the front of your rig. Bugs come right off. Will not scratch paint. Works on windshields, paint and chrome bumpers. If you don't believe it, try one on your wife's car first, that's what I did.
T<> However, to keep your RV looking new, we recommend the following products to keeping you rig looking the way it did when it was brand new and that is Protect All's Products.

Q? Tank Sensors: Why is it every time I empty my holding tanks and I know they are empty, my monitors still show that they are either 3/4 full or full. Do I need a new monitor panel.
A> No, your black and grey tanks can build up an accumulation of waste, tissue, soap and grease over the tanks sensor heads in the tank over a period of time. Using a good sensor cleaner in your tanks will solve this problem. Sensor Power by Pure Power is designed to break down even the heaviest accumulation of waste, tissue, soap & grease to restore normal sensor function in both grey and black water tanks. Contains no harsh chemicals. Will not harm valves, pipes or tanks. Safe for septic systems, dump stations, & treatment faculties.
T<> And once you have your sensor heads cleaned and working correctly, we recommend to you to continue using all of the Pure Power line of products to help your keep tanks clean and oder free.
