Q? Vent Lids: Their are so many different Vent Lids you have in stock, How do I know which one will fit my RV?
A> To Replace your old worn out, cracked or warped vent lid you need to matched the vent hinge on you existing vent lid to the illustrations shown here.

Their are (3) basic manufacturers of RV Roof Vents, with (4) styles of hinges and listed in order as shown above, they are Jensen, Jensen W/Out Pin, Old Elixir and Ventline/New Elixir. Just look on the plastic crank handle, some times the name is stamped right into the handle or on the vent interior frame. If you not sure which vent you have, the best thing to do is take off you old vent lid and bring it in and we will match it up.
T<> While replacing your vent lid, check the roof seal around the vent to see if their are any cracks in the seal. If an Aluminum roof top you can re-seal the vent with plas-t-cote. It comes in White or Aluminum and in either quart or gallon cans. If you have a rubber roof top, use self leveling caulking. Also while your on you RV roof top, check your roof seams for any cracking. Plas-t-cote and self leveling caulking can seal those seams also. Return To FAQ |
