Local RV Parks That Welcome Over Nighters: 

Morro Bay is a 4 hour drive North of Los Angles on Hwy 101 and a 4 hour drive South of San Francisco on Hwy 101.  Taking the Hwy 1 exit (the Hearst Castle exit) at San Luis Obispo and driving west 12 miles will get you to Morro Bay on the California Pacific Coast. At the end of scenic Highway One is Estero Bay. The area has become famous for its beautiful state parks, bird estuary’s, and the distinct Morro Rock. Tourists and locals both enjoy a variety of activities in the area, including fishing, surfing, kayaking, golfing, bird watching, beach combing, or just relaxing and enjoying the sunset. Besides the nature and recreation of Estero Bay, there are also fine restaurants, and unique shops.  The following are RV parks do welcome Over Nighters.  (Parks Are Listed By Size - Not By Preference)

Privately Owned Parks:

Morro Dunes:  The only privately owned RV park right on the beach and a great park for a family.  With 178 gravel sites, (35) of them are pull-Thurs (22x58) the rest being back-ins (22x30) and tent camp sites. All sites have a fire pit and picnic tables  with full-hookup, 30amps service and SA-TV.  Restrooms/showers, public phone, laundry, ltd groceries and firewood.  Just a walk away out your front door and you on the beach for saltwater fishing, swimming and horse back riding. Bay Pines:   A privately owned RV park nestled in a cover of pine trees.  Located inland away from all the traffic of Morro Bays water front. This quiet and peaceful park as (112) gravel back-ins (22x40) sites,  sorry no tent sites.  All sites have full-hookup, 30amps service, phone hookups and SA-TV.  Restrooms/showers, public phone and laundry.  The ONLY RV park in Morro Bay with a heated pool and spa. Rancho Colina:  A privately owned RV/Mobile Home park located 1 mile from the beach in beautiful Morro Bay with panoramic views of the mountain ranges around it.  (57) gravel back-ins (22x50) sites, sorry no tent sites. All site have full-hookup, 30amps service and SA-TV. Restrooms/showers, public phone and laundry. The park also as a large rec hall with game room and wireless Internet Service is available. Cypress:  A privately owned RV/Mobile Home park located right in town and is with in walking distance of Morro Bay's water front and down town shops and theater.  (36) sites most common site width 20 feet, sorry no tent sites.  All sites have full hookups, 15/30amps service and tables.  Public phone and laundry. Public State Camp Ground RV Parks:

California's Morro Bay State Park Off The Morro Bay Golf Course:   (115) sites that can accommodate to 31'  length RV's, (20) with water and 15amps service, (95) with no hook-ups.  (30) of the sites are pull-thrus.  Tent camping is permitted and all sites have tables, fire rings/w grills and wood.  On site dumping station and public phones.  Just across the street is the swimming, boating,canoe rentals,salt water fishing, horseshoes, and hiking trails. Park open to the public.  Phone # (805) 772-2560

 California's Morro Strand State Park On The Beach:  Located right down in the beach in North Morro Bay. (104) sites, 24' max RV length. No hook-ups, tenting, cold showers, public phone, tables, fire rings, and wood. Just a wake over the sand dunes to salt water swimming and salt water fishing.  Park open to the public and open all year.  Facilities fully operational Memorial Day thru Labor Day. (Phone # (805) 772-2560
